Mama Carol’s Strawberry Ice Cream Sundae Tortilla Bowls
Carol BerberIndulge in this delicious ice cream sundae in your own home-made tortilla bowl, created by Mama Carol in the Mi Rancho family kitchen!
Ingredients
- Mi Rancho Organic Flour Tortillas (small)
- Olive Oil
- Butter
- Cinnamon Sugar
- Strawberry Ice cream
- Whipped Cream
- Sprinkles
- Strawberry Sauce
- Chopped Strawberries
- Maraschino Cherries
Instructions
Begin by poking holes in your Mi Rancho Organic Flour Tortilla. Lightly brush both sides of the tortilla with olive oil. Grab your tortilla mold and place tortilla inside, making sure it fits nice and snug. Set your oven to 400 degrees and bake tortillas for 8-10 minutes. Finish off the tortilla bowl by lightly buttering the inside followed by a light coat of cinnamon sugar.
Now it’s sundae time! Fill your tortilla bowl with strawberry ice cream and top it off with some whipped cream, chopped strawberries, strawberry sauce, sprinkles and of course, a cherry on top.
Not a strawberry sundae fan? Don’t fret. Switch it up by using the ice cream flavor of your choice – whether it be chocolate, mint chocolate chip or rocky road! Garnish your sundae with hot fudge, peanut butter, or a savory caramel sauce.
Tortilla bowls serve various purposes. Tostada salads, burrito bowls, or chicken tortilla soup are all great variations and uses for tortilla bowls!
